Philippa ShreeveI joined CSIP in August 2006 as the Programme Lead for Older People. I am leading on the implementation of the Department of Health paper ‘A New Ambition for Old Age' which focuses on the next steps in implementing the National Service Framework for Older People. My particular areas of focus are the development of the dignity promise, re-provision of services from secondary care into primary care and promotion of the health and well-being agenda.

Prior to coming to CSIP I was working in North Staffordshire developing pathways of care for older people as part of long term planning and redesign of the health system. I started my career in the NHS as an Occupational Therapist working in Mental Health and Paediatrics and then spent a period of time lecturing at Derby University on the undergraduate Occupational Therapy degree programme, prior to moving into the arena of strategic planning and workforce development.

I hope that through the work of CSIP I can make a valuable contribution to the Older People's programme, assist organizations in achieving their service aspirations and ultimately the health, independence and well being for older people.
