Nick Adams
Nick has a background in mental health services including practice in community and acute and intensive care inpatient teams. He has also worked on numerous projects around primary care based mental health including shared care arrangements, setting up primary care based psychology services, effective collaborations between primary and secondary MH Teams and the analysis and improvement of clients pathways or "journeys" through MH teams.
He was a senior lecturer in Community Mental Health and designed and ran several bespoke training courses. A focus on supporting peoples skills knowledge and values based practice remains central to his current work programmes.
Nick now works part time for CSIP, leading the West Midlands programmes for Acute In-patient Care and Suicide Prevention which have helped develop a wider understanding and implementation of their latest practice and policy guidance. These West Midlands programmes also include development projects with the production of training / learning sessions and software based analysis tools. These projects link in with several other programme areas such as workforce planning, community teams and commissioning.
